Classes for learning traditional dances are available at Lykeion ton Ellinidon of Larissa. The courses are designed for students of all ages, public school, high school and lyceum, but also students and individuals of older age can attend, people that have sensitivity and love for the traditional dance, as well as for all the elements of our Greek tradition. At the same time, a group of

performances and presentations with experienced dancers exists, that each year is enriched by excellently trained members that come from other groups.

At the old days, people learned how to dance with a long-lasting absorption that began from their childhood years and was sinking in the dance. They were absorbing it from their skin with the process of osmosis. Dance is forms of culture that produced from creative processes, which are handled by human bodies in space and time.

Greek dances not as a class, but as social function, as a message, a synopsis of humanity and a base for the perception of life. Traditional dance should be seen as an institution that carries the entire values of past culture, as means in order to be able someone to see the future world from a different angle, as an alternative way for someone to enjoy himself and to live in the present. The traditional dance is unique and immortal and we all are perfectionists of its technique, but also admirers of its symbols.
